Hi, I’m Amy, and I’ve dedicated over 10 years of my career to helping individuals, particularly youth and families, navigate life’s challenges. I believe in empowering my clients to realize they’ve always had the tools within themselves for growth and transformation. I’m passionate about the intricacies and challenges life throws at us, and I firmly believe there’s always a solution, even when it doesn’t feel that way. My goal is to guide clients toward growth, healing, and lasting change.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Mindfulness

I hold a diploma in social work and have had the privilege of working with Hope Mission, supporting women with addiction, as well as working with university students struggling with anxiety, depression, and overwhelming workloads. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and am in my final year of the Master of Counselling program at City University of Seattle. I specialize in anxiety, depression, family dynamics, development, and trauma. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness. This allows me to offer practical, real-life tools for clients while fostering self-awareness and the ability to sit with emotions comfortably.

I’ve been practicing for over 5 years, primarily working within public schools as a mental health support for youth aged 5 to 16. I’ve helped children and teens navigate anxiety, family conflict, self-esteem, grief, and organizational skills, while also supporting their families. My experience also includes working in wellness programs for women navigating addiction, helping them rebuild self-worth and develop practical life skills. Additionally, I’ve volunteered on farms assisting with animal therapy, which has deepened my passion for incorporating holistic approaches into my work. I’m here to guide clients in recognizing that they have always had the tools to help themselves. I’m passionate about supporting clients in building self-worth, improving self-esteem, and processing trauma. Life can be messy, but with balance and self-care, there are healthy ways to manage whatever challenges come your way.

I’ve always asked “why” about everything, and for most of my life, I was labelled the emotional, sensitive one. I was never satisfied with labels like “too anxious” and constantly sought deeper answers. I believe that we all have the answers within us, but we often get confused by comparing ourselves to external factors. When people truly understand themselves, they can grow, heal, and empower themselves—almost like an algorithm. I want to help individuals see their inner strength and overcome life’s ongoing obstacles. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative journey where we work together to unlock the strength that has always been there.

I’m a true crafter at heart, often spending my free time making homemade gifts and DIY projects. When my friends and family notice I’ve been crafting for too long, I enjoy simple gatherings, playing board games, and cooking—especially hosting dinner parties. I’m passionate about the power of the body and love strength training, finding ways to stay active throughout the day, and visiting places like Activate. My ultimate favourite moments are spent in a secluded land, surrounded by comfy chairs, embracing the stillness and quiet.
